Company Background

Carolyn Dow is based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and has worked in the meetings industry for 30+ years. Many of these years were at the Scottish Convention Bureau as its Head of Sales and Marketing, and in 2003 she was seconded to EventScotland to help establish this new body. In April 2004 she set up her own company, theDowConsultancy, offering destination marketing advice and consultancy services particularly where the target markets are meetings and incentives.

In the course of work she has travelled extensively internationally, and has been a speaker/presenter at conferences, seminars and industry events in the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.

She is active in both SITE (Society of Incentive & Travel Executives) and MPI (Meeting Professionals International) and served as President of SITE International in 2001.

She is honoured to have received the EIBTM/ITME Incentive Travel Personality of the Year 1998 Award for Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
